Conscious Evolution
Design Challenge | UX | Duration : 3 days
Research Insight
Research studies showed that Millennials are becoming more aware of their daily life choices. Particularly on how their decisions impact the environment and if their actions contribute to good causes for the society.
The term “Conscious Evolution” emerged as Millennials progressively change their way of life ~ by being more mindful of their carbon footprints, sustainability, and energy usage.

Problem statement
For retail product companies, "Conscious Evolution" appears paralysed and they are unable to make sense out of the research study and how patterns of daily life have transformed the market.
They need to stay relevant for the millennials as they will be the future generation
Design Process
1.Quick and dirty user research ( Profiling Millennials ), What matters for them?
2.Identify the data collected from digital devices
3.Curate the data into a meaningful story
4.Design Concept
Profiling Millennials
2. Identifying data collected from smart devices ecosystem

The goals of exercise 2 :
To observe how modern daily life activities transform into data.
What are the smart devices ecosystem in a person's life contributes towards data collection?
What are the meaningful data points that could influence a person's choice?
How do we curate a meaningful story that would influence a person's behaviour?
How do we inform individuals that their daily decision impact energy usage, sustainability, and eventually their long term wellbeing?
3.Curate the data into a meaningful story
Synthesize findings from exercise 1 & 2 into a “How Might We” statement.
These statements would be the design goals and the baselining for the story curation

Design Strategy
The design strategy adopted the “HOOKED” psychology framework: Trigger, Investment, Action, Reward.
Design Rationale
Enhancing an individual's online reputation requires repetitive acknowledgement of their good cause actions.
Individuals need to be aware of the impact they contribute to the environment from their daily actions: positively and negatively
New behaviour goal
to enable individuals to make well-informed decisions on their energy usage and carbon footprint
Identify the variables
What are the TRIGGER, ACTION, INVESTMENT, and REWARD to achieve new behaviour goal
